Flood the shape with light pink flood consistency royal icing. Use a toothpick or scribe tool to move the icing around, ensuring full coverage. Also pop any air bubbles that come to the surface.

Pipe pink flood consistency royal icing onto the wet base royal icing. Make small “v” shapes, all in the same direction until the border is filled.
