How to Carve a Pumpkin with Cookie Cutters

Remove the stem of the pumpkin and spoon out the contents of the pumpkin, so that you are left with a hollow gourd.

Place the cookie cutter where you wish to make the cut, and then gently tap with the rubber mallet until the cookie cutter cuts fully through the pumpkin.

Remove the cookie cutter gently with needle nose pliers.

Gently press on the cutout area. If it can be removed, remove it. You may need to use your paring knife to cut around the shape to more easily remove it.

Use your paring knife and spoon to clean up your shapes, then repeat as desired.
