  Bake and cool cookies before decorating. Make sure cookies are fully cooled. If they are warm, the icing will run off of them. Make royal icing. Learn how to mix different consistencies of royal icing here>>

  Prepare the following icing colors:
  
  Piping Consistency:
  Yellow
  Blue
  Orange
  Black
  
  Flood Consistency:
  Yellow
  Blue
  Orange
  Black

• 2Using yellow piping consistency icing, outline a window on the cab of the truck, and then outline the entire cab.
  
• 3With blue flood consistency icing, fill the window in and gently smooth the icing out with a toothpick or scribe tool. Wait for the blue icing to dry and begin crusting over, about 20-30 minutes.
• 4Once the blue window is dried, flood the rest of the cab with yellow flood consistency icing.
  
• 5While the yellow cab is drying, break out your orange piping consistency icing to outline an elongated rectangle on the bed of the truck. At this time, you can also pipe an elongated rectangle on top of the orange bed and over the cab of the truck.
  
• 6Outline the rest of the bed with orange, making sure to leave space for the wheel. Feel free to square off the back to add a bit of extra detail, or just follow the outline of the cookie.
• 7Fill in the lower part of the bed with orange flood consistency icing. Wait for this icing to dry 30-60 minutes before moving on to the next step.
  
• 8Using black piping consistency icing, outline the two wheels. Fill with black flood consistency icing, using a toothpick or scribe tool to get rid of any air bubbles and to ensure full coverage.
  
• 9As the wheels are drying, use yellow flood consistency icing to fill in the elongated rectangle over the bed and over the cab of the truck. Wait for the wheels and this yellow area to begin drying, about 30-60 minutes.
• 10Use orange piping consistency icing to create details in the bed of the truck. Pipe lines, or experiment using different amounts of pressure to get scalloped lines.
• 11Using stiff consistency black icing, pipe rocks in the bed of the truck. Do this by applying firm pressure and then releasing as you lift the piping bag straight up.

  Use yellow piping consistency icing to pipe little hubs in the center of the wheels. And you're done!
